Long hair has a tendency to become important, to take focus. I have had butt-long hair for most of my life, but I don’t wanna go there any more. It’s just hair, and I like it that way. So off it goes. Short practical hair for the win!

Blogging Is For Me
While in NYC, I chatted with a friend of mine who has been blogging every single day for years now. He says one key to his writing success is that he doesn’t know how many people read his posts. He writes it in a way like an enhanced diary, and that way he’s independent of… Continue reading Blogging Is For Me
I’m Going Nuts! About Cravings
I don’t usually eat nuts, but recently I did. I bought some (I’m sure not raw) Brazil nuts about a week ago. And I ate hazelnuts at work over the last week. Raw hazelnuts, brought in by a kid (from their garden), cracked open by the kids. I have mixed results. It does feel heavier… Continue reading I’m Going Nuts! About Cravings
Woodstock Fruit Festival 2015 – Official Recap
The week of my year for sure…
International Day of Peace
Today is the International Day of Peace, as established by the UN in 1981. This year’s motto is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All”. So let’s take this day and remember that behind all actions, there is a basic human need. Let’s remember that all beings have needs, and that the needs are often… Continue reading International Day of Peace
6k Race in the Box!
I did a 6k race today, together with half of my team from work. Participation was sponsored by our organization, even. We participated in the Perchtoldsdorfer Zentrumslauf, many of my colleagues’ kids did the kids runs. In the main race, we made up 5/9 of the female participants (a total of 9 🙂 ). Back… Continue reading 6k Race in the Box!
Kale! A Rarity in Vienna
I am so happy right now. I found kale. Organic kale even! This is not an easy feat. So far, I’ve only seen it two places, one of which doesn’t have it this year. And fresh kale is only to be found in autumn – which, I guess, makes sense. In any case, I found… Continue reading Kale! A Rarity in Vienna
A Past Not Left Behind
Since I started journaling, I’ve had some really interesting insights into my mind. This morning, waking up early (before 4am), I wrote again. Any thought that comes up is written down, no judgment, just a “stream of consciousness”. Today, I wrote about people that I cared for, deeply, in the past. And I realized: I’m… Continue reading A Past Not Left Behind
Biking is fun!
I kinda get it now, but it still amazes me: I can be ever so tired or exhausted, my legs can be really sore. And still, biking home is one of my favorite parts of the day. I can even dread it for the first half, still at some point it will excite me and… Continue reading Biking is fun!
See ya later, Facebook!
I did it, I am off Facebook for a month. (Such is the plan.) Password is changed to something random, which I wrote down on a little piece of paper. I’m not ready to ditch it completely or even disable it. I like feeling connected to people around the world, being able to share. But… Continue reading See ya later, Facebook!
