I am spending the weekend at a farm/farm sanctuary. This morning I went for a short run to explore the area. I found trails!
Yesterday I was invited to TIAN, apparently one of only four Michelin star vegetarian restaurants worldwide. Just looking at the plates was amazing, like going to an art museum. All was vegan and gluten free.
There is this one trail loop through the hills that I love to run after work. Today, I was joined by two friends. The view from there is slightly different each time, and so so precious every time. 360 degree view across the Wienerwald and the city in the distance.
Today was the first day of school – first day back to work. It was an especially exciting day for the new children in our mixed-age classroom: they first day of school EVER! Most of the kids I know from my time as a Kindergarten teacher on campus, and they know the school, at least… Continue reading First

I had interesting conversations on both flights, and I also meditated for an hour at the airport, which was a conversation starter. (Oh, and the day started with me participating in Cloud Zendo Portland!) I am back with a… Continue reading Back Home
When visiting a dear friend in Oslo a month ago, (A month!! What a journey it has been.) I got to try out his keyboard. It was love at first sight! Wooden, ergonomic, mechanical keyboard. And it has an Any Key! Keyboard.io It isn’t super compatible with a potentially nomadic and wannabe-minimalistic lifestyle, so I… Continue reading The Coolest Keyboard I’ve Ever Seen
I woke up feeling a bit sick and more tired than usual. But… I had plans, and I wasn’t ready to spend my last full day in bed. It was the first day of school for the kids, and I got to walk to school with them. A lot of excited kids in one place!… Continue reading Portland, The End Is Near
Sunday is Waffle Church day (The “Church of the Mundane Miracle”). My Portland friends had started the tradition of inviting people over for waffles on Sundays, and eventually ended up calling it Waffle Church. Because church is what other people get together for on Sundays, no? (Makes me wonder: what would I call a church… Continue reading Sunday in Portland
